Having a food allergy or intolerance must really suck. I’ve not really ever experienced anything of that sort, but I feel for those that do have to take extra special care over what they eat.
On that note, I’ve decided that it’s not alright to make having an allergy a burden on any of my customers, which means from now on, all of my allergy specific wedding cakes are now exactly the same price as my regular cakes.
I know great recipies for gluten free and lactose free cakes in almost every flavour that I do, I can also do egg-free wedding cakes, however as these are so soft, they can be a little lumpy (so just be aware).
Before I make a cake like this, I do a deep-clean of my kitchen to make sure there is no chance of contamination or flour in the air. I have a number of friends with quite severe allergies that I make cake for all the time, so you can rest assured that I know what I’m doing when it comes to taking the neccesary care.
