Hi Everyone,

I’m not going to be updating my blog very much for a while, as I’m currently much preferring my Facebook page.

I like that it’s much more interactive, it is a lot easier to start discussions, and everyone gets involved.

If you’re looking for updates on what’s going on with my cakes, head over to my Facebook page:

Welcome to 2014 everyone!

January is always a super busy time for wedding cake bookings, and I want to make sure that there is a great special offer to match, so if you book one of my Spectacal cakes in January, you will get 40% off!

The only condition on this is that the cake can’t be the same or similar colours as the ones already in my gallery.

Hey everyone,

Because of all the issues with the website and e-mails in November, a number of clients (almost) missed on November’s special offer, so we extended the time limit for it because it was our fault they couldn’t book.

Only seems fair now that we extend it to everyone.

December’s special offer will be the same as November’s

E-mail is fixed, at least for the time being.

There are on-going updates to the website, so sorry if anything doesn’t work/looks odd.

Hi Everyone,

We’re having some issues with our website and e-mail at the moment.

I’m sorry if the website isn’t quite working as it is supposed to at the moment.

I also can’t guarantee that we will have recieved your e-mail if you sent it after 15/11/2013

If you need to get in touch urgently, please e-mail ryan@indiespring.com

Otherwise, please check back here for updates on when things are back to normal.

Sorry for anyone’s inconvenience.

Webmaster Ryan

It’s flattering when people choose to have my designs, but I much prefer designing and making bespoke cakes. Therefore, for cakes booked in November, I’m going to give 25% off for cakes that are not any of the designs on my website.

…. (and other allergy specific recipies)

Hi All,

Having a food allergy or intolerance must really suck. I’ve not really ever experienced anything of that sort, but I feel for those that do have to take extra special care over what they eat.

On that note, I’ve decided that it’s not alright to make having an allergy a burden on any of my customers, which means from now on, all of my allergy specific wedding cakes are now exactly the same price as my regular cakes.

I know great recipies for gluten free and lactose free cakes in almost every flavour that I do, I can also do egg-free wedding cakes, however as these are so soft, they can be a little lumpy (so just be aware).

Before I make a cake like this, I do a deep-clean of my kitchen to make sure there is no chance of contamination or flour in the air. I have a number of friends with quite severe allergies that I make cake for all the time, so you can rest assured that I know what I’m doing when it comes to taking the neccesary care.

Being in the wedding industry runs in our family – my sister is a wedding photographer. You should check out her (and her husband’s) work:

Whelan Photography

October’s special offer is slightly different to normal. It doesn’t matter or not if you book in October or not, but as long as you are a customer of mine, you can get a full wedding package from Whelan Photography for only £350!

As an extra thank you, if you book Claire and Shane to do your photographs, you can have an extra 10% off your cake (on top of any other offers) too!

Just a quick one for September:

For any cakes booked this month, you get a free height upgrade – from 3.5″ tiers to 4,5″ tiers.

UPDATE: The 4.5″ tall tiers were so well recieved that they are now my standard size – for no extra cost!

Hi Everyone,

It must really suck to have an food allergy or intolerance. I feel especially bad for those who have coeliac disease and can’t experience the wonderful world of cake.

That said, there is a wonderful world of alternative options available. I’ve worked hard over the years to develop a number of gluten free wedding cake recipies that are just as tasty as my normal ones, and in August, I have a special offer just for those people who have food allergies:

If you book in August you can have either a free whole cake gluten-free upgrade, or if you don’t have an allergy, a gluten free mini cake decorated in the same style of your main cake for an extra-special guest.

If you have other allergy requirements, please get in touch, I can make lactose free and egg free wedding cakes.

UPDATE: Check out my newest post on gluten free wedding cakes. No extra fees for allergy cakes ever!

Hi Guys!

Can you believe we are half way through the year already? Normally July signifies the start of my busy period, but May and June were extra busy this year too, so I’m in full swing, though this heat isn’t helping *melts*.

Speaking of busy, what is normally my low season is filling up much quicker this year too, with some especially busy weeks.

These are marooned by a sea of empty ones though, so I thought I’d make a special offer to fill them up.

I’m going to do my 50% off offer again, so here are the rules:

If you book in July you get:

– 10off just for the sake of it
– 10% off if your wedding is between 1st September 2013 and 1st May 2014
– 10% off if you pay in full at the time of booking
– 10% off if you order one of my signature or spectacle cakes*
– 10% off if you find the other secret offer on my site that gives you 10% further discount

Have a great summer!

* The only exception to this is Paris, where you still get the discount, but don’t get to keep the fake tiers + pillars after your wedding.
